Default Rejex convert

Paul Champagne was kind enough to send me a bottle of Rejex (Thanks Paul) he wasn't going to use and I've been applying it over the last day or two.
Paul feels that Zaino gives a better result than Rejex and, after seeing some of the exquisite work that he's done I can believe that he can see the difference, but I can't. I don't enjoy cleaning and polishing my car. I enjoy having it shiny and clean, but the process is a chore. In my opinion Rejex is easier to use because there's no mixing and waiting and it's a one step process.

Yes. Rejex has turned out to be a long-term winner for me too.

After carefully applying two coats two seasons ago, the pair of 928s and a black Bimmer still have very silk smooth, gleaming finishes - and there is no indication the protection needs a touch up for the coming spring. I've never had it so good .....
Rarely do the cars need washing, for little sticks ( the finish is so slick!) - a quick once-over with a california Duster is normally all it takes for that fresh washed look.
Definitely leaves more time free for driving ...

Yeah, when I wash my car, the Rejex finish still looks very good almost a year later. I don't know a wax that can do that. I never liked the idea of plastic/polymer coatings over the paint. Rejex is either something completely different or I just changed my mind. Just make sure the paint surface is as good as it can be with no swirls/scratches before you apply Rejex, as it hides/fills nothing. That's fine, as swirl fillers are just temporary.

After growing up in northern NJ, can I remind you that Nowhere Fun isn't that far away from where I was?

Had to move a long way away to get to Someplace Cool.

Heinrich,

Do you take Rejex straight or on the rocks? Sounds like great stuff. I've ordered a bottle.

The greatest part about living in Jersey is that it makes trips, actually any trip anywhere, all that more enjoyable.

Down the street the funeral goes,
the wails and sobs diminish.
He died from drinking Rejex, they say.
He had a lovely finish.

The best part about my 1 trip to Jersey was the ride home.

Driving through neighborhoods with store signs saying "We kill thieves" isn't exactly my kind of place...

Sounds like great stuff.

Can you do the first two steps (paint cleaner, polish) of the regular three step (paint cleaner, polish, wax) method to get the paint good and clean and then put on Rejex or is there another method I should use to get it ready?

Try 2-4 oz of Dawn detergent in a half pail of hot water to dewax the paint. Then, claybar the car, following with a much more dilute Dawn wash & dry. When the paint is smooth and squeeks when wet, it is really clean .... and ready for the Rejex.
