Sure its a low mileage (33K) 5 speed S4 from the original owner....but it hasn't ran in 6 years....just sat in storage rotting? Bids are already over $15K & it doesn't even run and the owner has no intention of making it run? This is getting really crazy....this car will take some serious time & $$$$ to get it running correctly....thats if nothing is seriously wrong.... How can you PPI a 6 year stored 928 without driving it? ...this could be a nightmare expereince for the next owner! I can hear it now (but it only has 33K miles, how can !?!?! be broken!)

Dings scratches and poor touchup !! not only was it neglected in storage but sounds like it was not considered very special when it was driven ,very well may have seen some salt and snow ...This is nuts in my opinion if the bid is REAL. It just sounds like the car did not get a lot of love...

How many people on this forum would if they owned the car want to start it with the current timing belt ? because odds are it is original. Plus they stated that the tires are original , who here has run 33,000 miles on a set of tires on a 928 ?

I'm glad this guy wasn't my physician - if he can't take care of a simple machine how could he take care of people?

Over $17k now. the bidders with feedback pulled out around $14k. the guy with a 2 for feedback is going to bid the moon, then go have a 'look' and make his decision. Jackpot if it goes over $20k for the seller! It'll prolly be back avail in a few weeks/days.
After all the negative vibes, it could be as protrayed, just drove into the garage one day, and poof! Forgot I had a 928. Fluids, belts, fix the headliner and maybe a driver. It's gonna leak oil for a bit but that's fixable.

There are many many people with little understanding of things mechanical or what I call mechanical sympathy (which probably should be empathy) . Those are the people who see nothing wrong with revving up a cold engine , using the clutch and engine for braking , fixing one failed coolant hose at a time, ignoring routine scheduled service , backing up then shifting to first and using the clutch to stop rolling backwards ,accelerating toward a redlight and slamming on the brakes , the list goes on and on.

"Oh yeah, dear. I do recall seeing a car with that Horsey emblem. Now, was that a Porsche, or a Ferrari. Hmmmm, where did I see that car last? I think it was silver-green, or maybe green-silver, gosh I just can't recall."

If the car hasn't been driven in 6 years, why did he photo-shop out the date on the license plate registration sticker but not the plate number itself?
Interesting.........

Brave very Brave.....original TB, original tires?!?!? Sounds odd....probably got the estimate for the TB job back in the day and parked it instead!
Auctions over...I wonder what brave fool bought it....a very frustrated brave fool soon....my guess is the TB breaks and you end up with the car!!!

There was a late 80's S4 near me in NY I think that had the ORIGINAL
factory timing belt. That was about 1/2 year ago and everyone here on the
list chimed in. The car was trailered up to Musante Motorsport in CT and got
a fresh timing belt/water pump.
David Lloyd kept that factory belt, I think. Never got a picture of the belt
from him.
Wonder how cracked the original tires are on the Ebay beast.
Hope whoever got the 928 takes slightly better care of her.
May the winner find this list before the S4 munches valves.
Hey, Jim B. Who needs brake when there's Reverse.
Ernest (NYC) Finally learning how to drive a stickshift.
928 clutch jobbies aren't cheeeep.
