Noble,
I think the problem we as 928 owners have with you is that you made a derogatory comment about a car you really have no knowledge of, while I'm sure many of us would be more than happy to set you straight you apparently have no interest in truly experiencing what it's like to drive a 928
why not check back with us in 25 years and see how your 997 stacks up against the new cars of that generation
I have a 78 that weighs in right at 3k lbs, completely stock, which kicks the butts of most new cars without blinking an eye
just because I own and drive 928s doesn't mean I don't appreciate 911s, FAR from the truth, I love 911s but it doesn't "fit" what I want in a car
the true measure of a car isn't how fast it goes to 60mph

BTW: I like the newer Porsches, too, but would not give my 928 for one - not even a Carrera GT. Actually, now that I think about it, I could sell the Carrera GT and get a whole fleet of 928s for it. Yes, that's it - I'll take it!

Too funny! The "little man" is obviously feeding off of pissing the 928 guys off. You know he knows that the 928 set trends for many cars and years to come. In the years they made the 928's, there really wasn't anything that could touch the car. Porsche had to "de tune" them with milder cams in the later years. It just wouldn't have been a good idea to have the fastest/best Porsche made to date be faster than the continuing line. We all know the car never caught on and lot's to do with it being so expensive. Why buy a super car for super money when you can buy an economy rear engine version for less duckies, that give a ton of fun, needing only the knowledge of a volkswagen bug to own?
Fact are facts as he states. Look them up and you will see the stellar reviews of the 928, then and now. What he doesn't want to admit, is that this fat slow lazy car is STILL on the road in stock form smoking many other cars produced today. Had the 928 still been in production, there would be no conversation as to who has the bigger dick!
So, we as 928 owners, have helped the 928's keep up with some of todays technology. "Mush Mouse" may just be to ignorant to know about the twin screws and TT now being strapped on the 928's that will roast his corn and send him back home to mommy.
I love cheesebags like this guy....barks like a yap yap dog and runs behind the couch. (loser...)
