Like the movie Vertical limit. ..."Yeah, french canadian, But today apparantly French". No offense but, why the hell do people adopt such an eliteist behavior over a car? There was a time when car guys respected one another for having the same passion albeit over different marques. Here you have someone being an *** knocking the same marque.
I was over the father-in-laws today and he had a friend over that I had never met before. We got on the subject of cars when my FIL told him I had a small fleet of 928s. The guy responded that 928s were POS and that it was the biggest mistake Porsche ever made. Claiming that the suspension was garbage and that Porsche finally gave up on the 028 when they realized they would never get it right.
He said that someone would have to be an idiot to own one. Then while making a smirk, said "so you have 3 ?". The insult went beyond my cars and was placed on me, and I had known the guy for 120 seconds. Had it not been my FIL's friend, thing probably would have escalated beyond words. My wife quietly said "oh ****" and had a look of panic but I remainded civil.
He continued to say that his ford pickup(lightening) would take any 928 with ease both 0 to 60 and top end???? I said "any day"? I'll wait till after I smoke him with the 85 to let him know about my blower.;-)
As a side note, how do you think (Pat) aka Doublenutz would have reacted to this thread?

I hear ya man, I am a car guy (period). I am not crazy about all cars, but I give credit where credit is due. Seems people LOVE to scream out their ignorance, rather than keep it to themselves....and possibly learn sumpn'.

Dan I've never had a thing against the French. I like theit tower, their wine and their language. As with any nation, they have good and bad. Their cars have gone from very bad to very very good too.
