Afer the smash and grab, I had to vaccuum all the small bits of glass from the car. On the outside of the seat are 2 dials- the back one adjusts the incline of the back- the front one moves the seat up and back(horizontal) and the front of the seat up and down. Now that window is replaced, the front dial does not seem to work- do not hear motor hum, need to move seat back as far as it will go and raise front of seat.

Any suggestions ??

You might have dislodged an electrical connector with your vacuum cleaner. The seat is close to the floor so you might have to remove it to reconnect. As a temporary measure you can adjust the fore/aft position of the seat with an allen key which turns the motor manually. The allen key (6mm I think) goes in through the hole in the motor cover at the front of the seat base.

If the weather is good, come on over on Sunday, if you are free. We'll be replacing Steve's starter motor starting at about 10 am and we could take a look at the seat switches at 11 or so.
