Either I caught one of the best deals on the planet, or that car is not worth anything near $2k.

Mine was a dirty mess, had a rodent problem and hadn't been run in 18 years, but for $960, I think it was well worth it.

Some think I'm an idiot for taking mine on. It seems to me that this one is worse off than mine was - and the reserve on this one is more than twice what paid for mine.

problem is this guy sees Porsche on the back and $$$$$$ in his eyes
I can't believe this has actually been bid up as high as it is considering the damage and unknowns

edit: appears the folks bidding it up are his friends

Shill bidding is the NORM on E-Bay...also there is little magic to a 78 EURO. The Euro S car with the 4.7 engine is the desirable one but not all Euros are S cars !

I disagree, a 1st generation supercar available in a vast array of color combos
I feel privileged to be entrusted with the care of a piece of automotive history

that aside, this guy is hilarious I should post the replies he sent me in regard to my questions... SWEARS it's a US spec car and I don't know what I'm talking about

This is oubviously some redneck hick who has no clue what he has, thinks it's worth more than it is, and he then also continues to claim it's US spec (worth LESS) when it's clearly euro.

Rixter perhaps I should have said there is little additional magic to a 78 Euro vs a 78 USA version That was my point that unless it is a Euro S there is little difference 1978-1979 cars.

Some one just bought this mess for $1950 with BIN on eBay.

Doesn't look like $2000 is the end of the story. The buyer backed out and the seller gave him negative feedback, so he is net minus one!
