I don't know if any of this info helps or not but a great compilation of stats on brakes.

Also try this for custom hats.

Any real reason a spacer under the hat with longer bolts would not work?

I have never heard of this done before. If you place a spacer under the hat it will change the offset where the wheel mounts to the car.

yes, it will but so does if you put the spacer between the wheel and the rotor. The only reason you can't put the sacer under the rotos is that it will move the rotor away from the caliper and the breaks worn't work.

I think Heinrich is trying to figure a way to adjust the offset of the 993TT rotors he has to work with the Calipers he has. The GTS uses the big blacks with the 94 turbo 3.6 rotor and the 993TT rotors are similar but have a different offset. So I am assuming he is looking to adjust for the offset by using the spacer.

Ahh ok, I didn't realize that. In that case I don't see why it wouldn't work.

And it is unchanged, since the spacing works with the 81 spindles and the BBK (a bracket for each caliper). The 993 TT rotors *two piece* can be taken out of the box and put on. This is not true for *S4 suspension* people who want to use the very good and solid and well priced 993TT rotor. The steel hat does not space the rotor properly. H wants to space the rotor out, and I started this thread because I was working on an aluminum hat like Devek makes. If I could make enough it would be a great thing since it would be quite cheap.

I'm sort of inclined to go see if i can have a 1/4-in spacer made for the inside of the hat, so it bolts on with the weel studs as always, and leave the hat screws alone.
