Default Excessive Boost?

For your amusement ( if not a repost), this turbo was tweaked a little high . As one guy quipped, 'bring out the JB weld!'.

That's crazy. In the 1st pick the wheels are still spinning. That's just nuts.

If he had just used 3.09s he could've created all the horsepower he needs without so much boost.

Well I suppose you can blow anything up if you try hard enough Why is the cam at the bottom, and the cylinders at the top?

The cam is on the side. It's a pushrod engine. The cylinders have seperate liners which are attached at the top.

That's a classic "flathead" engine configuration. No moving parts in the head, the valve seats are in the block -- the valves move upward to open. You'll find the same configuration in a Briggs & Stratton lawnmower engine, unless yours is one of those newfangled Honda OHV motors.

Probably staged turbos on that thing. Some of the pullers run staged turbos in excess of 200 psig. It is insane, the compressor discharge temps after such compression are into the hundreds with an S! But, it only has to run for what 30 seconds?

I guess the Doc isn't a big fan of Eaton/Autorotor setups.
