I finally compiled the pics and text explaining how I mounted my Accusump under the rear bumper cover. The file is now about 1.5mb and can be found here.

Just one Line? Just one pressure line? Where do the pressure sensors go for the dump?

No sensors the amount of oil and the pressure inside the accusump changes all the time. So pull into the pits on a hot day after a hard session and if the engine is at idle the accusump only has 30 PSI or so. Rev it to red line and now the accusump is nearly full of oil at 100 PSI or so. Proper care and feeding has you shut off the valve manual or electric when the engine speed is high and you have a full accusump only then can you check the oil level in the oil pan and get a real reading. Anytime the oil pressure drops down oil leaves the accusump.

Hi Brendan,
Jim Bailey pretty much answered your question I think. In addition there is this explanation of a variation on the standard Accusump that's on the install instructions from my rennlist web site.

Another recommendation I have is to get their (Canton Racing) E.P.V. valve. The advantage of that valve is that it keeps all the pressurized oil in the Accusump until the engine oil pressure drops to a level of one of the three E.P.V. valves, then the Accusump dumps the oil. The E.P.V. valves come in 20 – 25 psi, 35 – 40 psi, 55 – 60 psi versions. I feel it’s best to keep all the oil in the Accusump until it’s really needed. The E.P.V. valve can be purchased as an upgrade to an existing Accusump system.

Normally, the Accusump valve has a check valve with a small opening which permits relatively slow fill so it doesn't rob the main oil supply, but rapid discharge of oil whenever the engine oil pressure is less than the accusump pressure. The E.P.V. valve keeps all the oil in the Accusump (maybe 100 psi.) until engine oil pressure is less than that of the valve, then the Accusump dumps all the oil.
