Nicole:

With the crowd, let's go to the pizza joint. Thanks for volunteering your place again, but it would probably be best to use the restaurant.

If there is room, I'll do 2 sessions. For those who haven't done this, the steering is real stiff and this can wear you out pretty quickly. 15 minute race is not too bad. I've done longer, and with any kind of heat, this can be draining. At least that's what I found.

better hope you get a fast KART!! im at 200lbs and 6ft and it is roomy, but the only think you willl have working against you is the extra 50lbs or so. hp to weight in these things is important, and if the carts are 10hp , and the kart is 400lbs with you in it, thats 40:1. loose 50lbs and thats 35:1 . you just lost 1.5HP or 1.5% HP equivilant.! and braking and cornering disadvantages.

I would talk to the racing committee and push for some kind of ballast weight to equal things out!!!

Thanks Mark. I knew I would be at a disadvantage power to weight wise , but it would be a moot point if I couldn't even wedge myself into the thing.

I weigh over 240lbs as well and the LeMans place is a momentum track where weight isn't the biggest factor.

OK, I'll see what's close in terms of Pizza and report back.

Sounds like a LOT of fun, wish I could join you guys. Getting the San Diego crowd to commit to anything like this takes an act of Congress & we have TWO cart tracks around here! Too many other things to do I guess... Have fun guys and gals!

I won't be able to make it over. Sounds like a blast. It would be fun if we could plan a kart session during the Sharks in the Park weekend.
