I just found a set of them to match my 17" X 9" Cup 2 wheels for the rear (ET 55) which are the most common 911 Cup 2 rear wheel. I've always thought the Cup 2 was one of the best looking OE wheels on the 928's.

I never heard them called "snow tires", maybe that will help me find them. BTW, where did you find yours?

I bought a used set of "993" cup wheels 8x17 et70 front and 9x17 et55 rear and found out that the fronts are winter rears for a 993. The 8" wheel will take a 245/40/17 tire.
I thought they were a rare find and jumped on them!

I thought I heard of 9" rear wheels for the Boxster that would fit the front of our cars? Cannot remember all the details, but that sounded promising.

Rick, et al,
My BIG error. They were called winter or snow WHEELS (not Tires!!!). I first saw a set on ebay about 18 months ago, and they went for more than I was willing to pay at the time. Just bought a set from a PCA member in Canada. I'd advertised in the classifieds of their local Region PCA publication. I've had an ad running in Panorama for over a year. One of our northern European 928 OC members suggesting searching in "Cold Climates". Duh - why didn't I think of that!!!
Cheers from the snowy mid-Atlantic region.
