I was thinking Ford injectors, but I haven't found any Ford injectors with barbed fuel connections. I also haven't found out what the 1.1 vs 1.3 shape difference is.

So we could use the S4 injectors in an S2 euro and just up the fuel pressure a bit? in a pinch?

984-1986 Euro S2
Bosch #: 0280150252

Flow g/min 100% duty @ 3bar: 187.3
Resistance: 16,15

Electrical Connection: L-Jetronic
Hydraulic Connection: Slang (I think this means barbed connector instead of O-ring.)
Estimated flow in lbs: 24

The flow is different by 5 pounds, but the ohms are close at 16 vs 15 something.

But you may be right in the way of the way the injectors sit in the runners - the snout on the S4s are very different.

The fuel connection to the runner is a barb on the L and Euro LH cars. It is an O-ring seal on the S3 and later cars. Also, like I said above, I don't know if 1.1 and 1.3 shaped injectors fit in the same holes. If they will physically fit and connect, S3 injectors should not require any fuel pressure changes.

I wonder how hard it would be to swap the old rails for S3 or S4 rails to use O-ring injectors.

I used ford motorsport injectors on my old gal equpped w/gt fuel rails... had to shave down the o rings a bit, but they fit fine... big advantage was cost - $224/set of 8 vs nearly $90/ea for bosche, and the FMS offer a 4 nozzle pattern that's better for atomization, alledgedly.... use low impedence versions and all is well...

The S4 raisl will work fine with the Euro LH intake runners. You will simply use the runner's bracket feet with the blind tapped hole for some man-made brackets to hold onto the S4 rails. I did this on the 4.5L I built and intended to use for boost.

My question of injector nozzle shapes is making sense to me now. Obviously for any individual runner 928 from 80-85(Euro) will need the longer nose of the L-Jet injector and the Euro LH. The later injectors that we can replace easily with the ford stuff on ebay are different.

These are SAAB D-jet injectors, but they should look the same as Euro LH and L-jet injectors.

I have found some injectors with similar specs to ours. [edited see post below]

Use low impedence and fry your LH. Use high impedence and all is well.

I have found some injectors with similar specs to ours. Peugeot used an aparently identical injector. Chrysler used several with the same resistance, shape, flow, but O-ring fitting.

With those pictured you will need to fashoin something regarding the circle-clamp type mounting on the early runners. The body is increased in size at the body area. Those look too skinny.

We need the nozzle body to look like this for the L-Jet and Euro LH cars all with the spyder intakes:

NOT THIS:

They can work, but you are chaning the top alot and grinding some plastic off.

Apparently a direct replacement:
Bosch #: 0 280 150 254
Form/Shape: 1.1
Flow g/min 100% duty @ 3bar: 187.3
Resistance: 16,15
Spray type: A (Cone spray)
Car model: Handelsvara
Electrical Connection: L-Jetronic
Hydraulic Connection: Slang ( barbed connector instead of O-ring.)
Estimated flow in lbs: 24-25
Original Fitment: Citroen 4-cyl 2.5L

These are the possible O-ring fuel fitting replacements. If the 1.1 vs 1.3 shaoe doesn't matter, there are a lot more options.
Bosch #: 0 280 150 223

Car model: Handelsvara
Electrical Connection: L-Jetronic
Hydraulic Connection: O-ring Sonderlange (long probe?)
Estimated flow in lbs: 24
Original fitment: Corvette 5.7L V8 1985-1988, Camero/Firebird 1987-1988

Bosch #: 0 280 150 255
Form/Shape: 1.1
Flow g/min 100% duty @ 3bar: 182.9
Resistance: 16,15
Spray type: A (Cone spray)
Car model: Handelsvara
Electrical Connection: L-Jetronic
Hydraulic Connection: O-ring Standard
Estimated flow in lbs: 24
Original fitment: Peugeot 4-cyl 2.5L (or 2.15L Turbo?)
