Default I'm an idiot...(wife takes over my 928)

I just got my first 928 a couple of weeks ago. Black cherry 86.5, lsd, sport seats. I love it!

But I'm an idiot.

Untill this week my wife had not driven the 928 or even had a
ride in it. Our 3 kids are 9,7, and 5 years old, so we can't leave them
alone, and of course the 928 doesn't fit 5 people. Despite my prompting, my
wife was hesitant to take it out alone untill she had gone for a drive with
me in the car.

So earlier this week I went home at lunch (while the kids
were in school, my wife doesn't work) and we went out for a drive in the
shark. Now that she's comfortable driving it, it has gone to take the kids
to school, gone grocery shopping, taken the kids to the dentist, picked up
the kids from school, ... My wife says I may never get to drive it again!

What have I done? I'm so stupid, I should have left well enough alone... Anybody got any more 928's for sale? Looks like I might need a second one

Don't worry, you'll get it back as soon as a fuel pump or fuel pump relay lets go and leaves her stranded.

Sounds like you need to get a 5-speed. Not that women can't drive a stick, but they just seem less inclined to - particularly when having to drive in traffic to go shopping, pick up the kids, etc. Worked for me.

A 5 speed would be great, but it wouldn't stop my wife from driving. The vehicle she usually drives is an Izusu Rodeo 5 speed.

It could be worse. At least this way she may not fuss when you spend money on it. Maybe his and hers sharks are in your future.

Wash the car wax it detail everything put on the car cover lock the cable under the car then simply insist that every time the car is driven that it be washed waxed and the cover put back on. Establish the rule of no food no drinks in the car that it be parked far away from "normal cars" in the parking lot. Odds are she will tire of the routine or at least the car gets good care! Point out that the rubber front spoiler (curb finder) is a $329 part...spend time waxing the wheels point out the lack of "curb rash" . When all else fails pull out a relay or do as I did and buy her her own 928.

I gave my fiance her 1st 928 driving lesson last weekend. Today my fiance drove the red 88 S4 to work for the 3rd time this week ( She bought the red for me ). She had to drive it the first two days as her sister was in town and using my fiances Honda. Today, she didn't want to "stop for gas and NEEDED to drive the 928.......uh, well, she paid for that one so it's hard to argue! She'll never see the keys to the white S4 though.

LOL, having a woman that wants to appreciate your fine automobile is a far lesser curse than one that wants you to get rid of it.

Guess I'm lucky. My wife likes the car, is glad that I have it, doesn't want me to get rid of it, but has no real desire to drive it - she could drive it whenever she wants, too, I don't drive it to work.
