You've lotsa options available to you. If you get them started now with shop manuals and tool sets by the time they are old enough to drive you can have several trained 928 mechanics.

My old man said to me: "You want a car? Great. Go buy one.... what? No money? Oh. Well then, get a job."

I am reminded of a scene from The Incredibles (A great flick if you haven't seen it):

It took me 13 years to get my wife interested in Porsche's. I have always owned one and before we met spent a lot of time doing DE and other fun events. So I tried to get her behind the wheel of my 911. She said it was too loud and needed a sports bra to ride in it. Then I rebuilt a beautiful 914 for her and she drove it 20 feet and said it was too low to the ground and dangerous. She wont even think about driving the turbo because it is to darn fast and scary. So I purchased a Cayenne Turbo and she suddenly started to see the light, although she swore that that was the extent of her interest in Porsche's. When I bought the GTS I figured she would be impartial as she has been with the other cars. BOY WAS I WRONG. Every time she gets out of the car she goes on for an hour about how she just loves the car and loves driving it. Now she is autocrossing it and I have to fight her for seat time.

I did make a few rules however. The car is not to come within a mile of a shopping mall, grocery store or any shopping parking lot. There is also absolutely no eating or drinking in the car and absolutly no 80's music. I have yet to get her to clean the thing when she is done using it, that is next on my list.

Be happy she enjoys it and involve her in the mods you make. My wife finally is beginning to understand why I spend the "foolish money" on all those little upgrades. Now when I change something she walks away with appreciation of what was done and is now interested in what changes are on the list. Can't wait to get the new sway bars installed.

I'll save you.

1) Give me your keys. 2) Step away from the vehicle.....
