Wanted to get something quick and went through a local (coral gables...) shop instead of the big three.
I ordered rotors all around and was quoted $89.00 for front and $74.00 for rear solid OEM Zimmerman's.
I send someone to pick them up and got sold a bag of goods. They are from SEBRO ??? Front seems to be the right size and part number and they are crossdrilled. The rear's are solid, but completely wrong size. Aparently they pulled the wrong part number for the rear.
Now question, since I have to go back anyway, should I keep these never heard of SEBRO's? They seemed to be oiled to prevent rusting, so I guess I would have to thouroughly clean them.
Anyone heard of or used SEBRO brake rotors ?
I was pretty pissed to be quoted Zimmermans and get SEBRO's...

Vertex by any chance?
I put some Sebros on my car. Acted funny with some clicking 'till I tracked 'em with Hawk Blues. Kept the old ones handy.
I googled for these and the only info I got was that they were about the cheapest rotors made.
BTW - I don't think $89 gets real Zimmermans. Anyone?

I didn't want to name the vendor... ![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So noone can tell me if they will stop my car or fall apart when I need them? The cross drilled fronts look nice, the hole pattern is nicer then the OEM...
Why don't the big three offer these rotors?

Can you post a picture of the rotors? I'd keep the cross drilled and not worry about them falling apart or fail to stop. That is more a function of the pad material. The biggest issue with rotors is having them warp.

Cross drilled (or forged hole) rotors do add a nice 'bling' element, but OEM solid rotors provide superior braking capability and longer life. It's all a trade-off.
I'd dump 'em and insist on the proven Zim brand.

Cast iron doesn't always cast the same way. Balancing is crucial, as is the final shaping process. I think you will find that the Genuine Porsche and the Zimmerman rotors are finely balanced and blanchard ground while the one in your pic appears to be machined... anybody's guess about the balance. Another vote for the real deal -- they will cost half again as much but last 2-3 times longer.

If those holes are drilled as opposed to cast in, return 'em.
I wouldn't go with the unknown. With the time that you are going to invest, it is well worth waiting for the Zimmerman's and paying a few $$ more. Unless you can get a good report from someone who has used these.

When I bought new discs for the GT here in Sweden my supplier sold both brands.
He told me that the Sebros are good enough for street but would definitely go for Zimmermans if you also plan to track or do DE from time to time.
He has been racing a lot and tried both so he should know.
Price difference were minor so i went with the Zimmermans.
(something like 25 USD per disc)
