Like I said, I felt it was high as well. When I get around to it, I'll get it done on a dynojet. I am just enjoying driving it, and really could care less what the final dyno numbers are. It is quite fast for a street car, and is just a blast to drive. I don't have a "dyno queen", and am quite happy with whatever it has right now. I have yet to have a passenger complain about the car being too slow.

They let the dyno "proof" of 525+ Hp do the talking

Data... Ive posted it all before. Im pretty open and upfront about what ive done with the car...issues i have had and shared what it can do in its curernt state.
So....Here it is again so "we" can can gather.

As far as TS vs CF...
#1 first and foremost, its a personall choice of what you want to do .
#2 its a personal choice
This pissing contest goes around and around..and will again. I just share what ive experienced so others can make there own personal choice.
The guy around the track first wins.
The guy with the best 1/4 mile wins.
The guy with the fastest 0-60 time wins.
The guy who goes the fastest in a straight line wins.

The guy who REALLY wins is the one that can do all of that with the same package and prove it....you all can fight over that title. Its not what i do this for. Ill just enjoy my car and messing with it in the meantime

Anywhooooo...
I had a little "data binder" on the fender of my car at sharktoberfest.
my 3 dyno runs...2 with water injection...1 without. Of the 2 runs with water/meth one was higher than non water...the other lower...so go figure as far as the gains from it?? they were all within 3rwhp an 5ftlbs
The data log is from the 402 rwhp pull
The 1/4 times from the drag strip
The 0-60 times from a GTECH PRO during the same runs as the times slips...all at the power level shown on the dyno.

ambient air temp is on the dyno chart..which is much differnt that what the car reads at the filter...sc inlet...sc outlet..and I/C outlet
I wonder what temp changes occur just above the intake valve as the "cooler" fuel is added to the airstream?

91 oct..RMB..cat bypass with glass pack welded in.

(edit)
after 1 yr and app 4800 miles daily driving, every day seeing boost at some point,, 110 air temps in the summer, original belts, one blown up MAF (operator error ) thats about it. No issues or mtc beyond what you coudl expect in a "normal 928"
I had the crank bolt back out , but that was hrs after the install and initial start up...no issues related to date with that. BIGGER and STONGER BOLT, BLUE LOCTITE and a PROPER TQ Wrench.
All the airleaks have been found..idles fine

Personnaly speaking, I think it is a real shame and loss to the board. Having contrary viewpoints and opinions makes for a stronger forum where more information can be freely submitted and exchanged.
Just because the discussions, at times, become heated is no reason to take your toys and go home.

Even Andy rarely posts here anymore...I would guess for the same reasons.

I would like to add that I respected the opinions, views, facts, and information each of these individuals provided to the board....Even if I didnt always agree.

I find it regretful that they no longer participate in the discussion.

Ultimately, we ARE all on the same team here guys...even those turbo jokers.
Believe me....there are no "hurty feelers" involved....My self and some of the other Supershark owners feel the censorship that goes on here makes any discussion moot. There is no point in joining a discussion when we hafta walk on eggshels around some of the crybaby personalities....... buncha PC crap.... At least that is my reason for not chippin in. There is a lot of development going on that is not talked about.... When it gets commercialized.....you will hear about it through the retail channel. Anyone interested in knowing more can use PM.

The person who has the most fun doing all of these things is the real winner. I think that would be you, Tony.

It’s even more fun when you build the whole thing yourself. Feels great when you build something out of nothing!

Thanks Jim
I enjoy it, thats for sure, even with all the hurdles and road blocks. Its a passion and a hobby which is why my wife is pretty good about it. She does have her limits however...parts in her oven and things like that

For Imo000's statement, to clarify things a little, the manifold , I/C, pulleys, and part of the rear inlet on the SC was not my doing.
I believe imo00 that you are speaking in refereence to the fact that you fab'd up your own complete SC set up? Correct?
pics?
Many of us are looking for a nice inlet system on the front of the car, any ideas??
. I think that is where we should all put our heads together. DR has it nailed but for those with original Twin screw/eaton kits there isnt going to be enough commonality to bolt up one of Daves sweet twin TB intakes from what ive heard.

Any time man,

Work season is (mostly) over on the farm.....hunting season is upon us. One moose in the freezer already.....deer stands went up last weekend. I still have a couple of weeks to try and "talk" a bear into the freezer.....

Soon as I get my cross over exhaust and cats from Dave and Jeannie I will move Gretch to the shop and begin playing again. May get my egt senders and gauges in this year too....

Time to start planning for snow.....Hoo rah........

Actually, the DynaPAK generally reads lower than a DynoJet ... we ran a 996 back to back, same day, same car and was able to "calibrate" the dynaPAK. Jims readings were conservative!

Keep in mind that weekend, we dyno'd the white car, and made 484 rwhp, and shortly before made slightly over 500 rwhp at the DynoJet.

We now know run the dyno so that the readings are within 1-2% of the dynonet .. for what it is worth.

Some reference was for everyone that built part or all of their SC setup and some for mine. I have pics of my setup,in many threads on here. Here is one that has the finished product. The piture is at the bottom of the page.

Check out the 928 Motorsports "Tuner's Kit" and then find your own supercharger head unit on Ebay. You will save a thousand or two and actually end up with a supercharger system on your car. Fabing your own is not that easy.

Will the ebayer stand behind the head unit like Carl would? Doubtful. You have to decide whether that uncertainty/risk is worth the savings.

Hi Marc why don't you do a 1/4 mile run for us all, I'm sure there is plenty of interest. Dyno runs are one thing 1/4 mile and the standing kilometer another. I would love to see such a run, what about others?

Greg
