Brendan,

I have stealth mode turned on...
...

Heinrich,

Congrats. I'm sure Pat will appreciate it sitting in his driveway, instead of mine.

I'd call you a ****** but it wouldn't have fit in the driveway.

If your serious, then buy his 4speed auto as well as the front cover . Get the Torque converter, but it may not pass muster for the S4 power.

So you'll put in the S4 motor, get a good S4 TT and put in that early 4spd auto to make your life easier (later 4spd have a couple different fitment issues).

You could get a lift and lift the entire body off the 80, and put the S4 motor, TT, and Auto (rebuild it, or at least get it checked out) and rear subframe under the 80, and bring it back down. Done.

You'll need the later version of the bowden cable. The shift cable can be used - you just cink it around to the different direction and its tight - but works. I think you could shorten it and make your life easier there too. Just don't use the 3spd.

To run the S4 - were you going to do stock or megasquirt or something more expensive? The flywheel needs to be separated from the toothed timing wheel and then you press on a 36-1 that I have the Emachine.com design for and you can run the fuel and ignition with Megasquirt and a Ford EDIS system. www.msefi.com You can even make the flappy flap at different times then 3700rpm. Less Sprark plug wiring, cleaner.

Just get the small fans x4 for the radiator. You'll need Ken's auto trans cooler.

Do you have two of the bumper shocks? I think they are the same on the 83 as my 85 and I need 2.

I need a headlight switch - one of the plastic retaining clips on mine is broken off so it doesn't sit properly in the pod.

Got one, Ken?

Anyone?

The one for sale won't fit an 85. You need one from around 83 on up.

I want to put in my name for the LSD for the 78-82 transmission. I'm not sure the ebay 78 trans I just bought has it or not. There is no way of knowing until i get it.

Can I pit a refundable down payment on it Ken? Or can I just say dibs?
