Talking Headed for S'fest '05

Heads up, Anaheim... the sharks are on the way.

Today we've made the Seattle - Bend, OR leg, via US97.
Good roads; neither snow nor rain, yet. Light traffic.
The 'Boss' drove the first stretch, then got bored with
the central Oregon high desert and wanted to drive more.

Tomorrow, Klamath Falls, OR, then to the coast.

See you all. G'luck.

Wait a minute... It's not THIS weekend. You guys are taking your sweet time if you are already on the road. I'm scheduled to work on two other cars this weekend before I start have a chance to get mine ready for the road (trying to diagnosis an omminous front and rear suspension clunk that is showing up in hard corners).

Anyway, see you all in Anaheim a week from this Friday!

Da dum...da dum... da dum... we're getting closer.

As we left Bend, OR, we pulled into the Porsche dealer
there. Didn't need anything; just thought we'd make
the place look better for 10 minutes.

Today we stopped at Crater Lake - 2 minutes to see the
lake, 5 minutes pit stop and 2 hours in the gift shop.

Tonight we're in Crescent City, on the coast. See you.

Bill, have you checked all of your drop links and sway bar bushings? Gotta get that fixed, you don't want to be limited to just easy corners...

Dave:

I looked pretty closely at every nut, bolt and bushing a few weeks ago and couldn't find the problem parts. I'm going to stare at everything this Sunday until I do find the source!

enjoyed the sights and critters.

Keith... we appreciate all the work you-all're doing for us
leisure-loving, suds-suckers, party-hearties. Thnx.

Well, Sonoma and Napa were all booked; so here we are
in Petaluma, the arm-wrestling center of the known world.
Today's run was partly 101 and CCH (CA 1) and CA 128.

See you soon.

And today, Sunday, after a late start, we got over the
Golden Gate and down to Pacifica. Then we got stuck
amongst the Pumpkin-lovers at Half Moon Bay, at their
festival. Took a half hour to go two traffic lights. CA 92
was bumper-to-bumper ooze.

Finally got to San Gregorio and the nice windies over the
hills to Los Gatos and the 101. I turned the wheel over
to 'the Boss' and away we went. Somewhere around
King City (hi Nicole !) I put the roadtrip theme on the
player - "I can't Drive 55" - and 'the Boss' didn't.

We got to Solvang in the early moonlight. The sharks
are coming ! Take care, all. See you.

Hey, all joking aside, it IS tough to do these events, but it is the greatest pleasure to see all the hard efforts of everyone come to life.

Glad you made it past King City without falling into a bear/shark trap! Enjoy to see how Denmark isn't and don't forget to stop in Santa Barbara - my favorite town in California (if I ever get rich and famous, that's where you'll ifnd me).

Drive safely, and see you on Friday evening!

WE MADE IT !! (1,909 mi)

No problem... well, one little one - a burst heater
hose about 2 hours ago, in Fallbrook, on the way
from Poway. The hose split by the clamp, on the
front of the block. Cut 5-7 cm off and reclamp it.
Top off the o'flow tank with the Evian/Perrier/ brand x,
and away.

Took the shortcut to Oceanside and up the I-5, watching
for other sharks if We needed company/comiseration.

Checked in the Hotel @1501 hrs. I'm connected by DSL
(complimentary) in the room. hI SPEED is nice; sort of
like the real highway.

See you all soon. Off to the carwash.
