Need a front bumper for an 88s4 (Chicago)
Hello all, have the s4 in front of my condo ( got it yesterday). I need a front bumper and some fog lights. It would be nice if I could find one locally so I don't have to ship.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Probably tough to find locally. Closest might be Carl at 928 Motorsports in WI, but I doubt he'd have it. I'd call 928 Int'l when they open. They dismantle many cars, and can probably help. Might want to check their website. They list used for $650 and New for $995. Ouch! But if they have your color, then you wouldn't have to paint.
I saw some lights on ebay - those can be very expensive, so ebay is probably your best deal.

Car is out in the burns getting a tuneup. I will have pics soon. I also need to do some mods as it feels like a dog compared to my 911. Although being an auto I think my girlfriend is going to steal it from me.

livens up the car - BIG TIME!
Let's say you're cruising along at 60MPH. Your car will be in 4th gear. If you hit the switch, the car will automatically drop to 3rd. But the cool thing is that it will hold in 3rd until you hit redline. It kind of turns the car into a 4-speed manual without a clutch. Search the archives and you'll find instructions. Probably one of the best/cheapest mods you can do.

There is a very good chance the car is NOT running as well as it should. Properly tuned and with correct camshaft timing knock sensors and hall generator working and resonance flap plumbed correctly the car should do about 100 mph in the 1/4 mile and top out at 165 MPh or so. The slowness could be as simple as a kickdown switch under the accelerator pedal linkage not dropping the trans into first gear. But get the timing belt service done (verify cam timing ) new caps rotors spark plugs air filter. If it then still does not do 100 mph in 14 seconds then dig deeper... It is also common for the throttle cable to stretch and you do not get full throttle ! Very often the best performance modification is to get the car to run like it did when it was new.
