Here's the link to the US distributor:

Here's the Picotech link:

I got the ADC40, the cheapest they have. It is a single channel scope based on a parallel port dongle.

Nice... that's a very handy tool. Thanks for the links. I've been wanting a scope for a long time since my aged Tek unit was heisted... Something like this would tide me over till I get what I really want.

Enjoy. I haven't gotten a chance to start really digging into troublshooting here. I have a feeling I've got a lot of tracing and studying to do. I suspect somewhere inthe pod the fuel gauge and the tach share a ground... somewhere.

mega old thread update.

I had a standard relay plugged into the kick-down slot. On a 5 speed car that's a big no-no, it shorts the CPS signal to ground and nothing works. I pulled that relay and plugged W11 back in. I've got a tach now and I'm a happy camper.

Time for some track events.

It affected just the tach or the car did not start?

With wrong relay in kickdown position: no start, no tach

Wrong relay and W11 unplugged; starts and runs, no tach

No relay and W11 plugged in; runs With tach

Interesting. A few days ago a guy was telling me about how his Neon was blowing fuel pump fuses. Some dude he knew had a look at his lambda sensor and found the wires chafed and shorting to the chassis and blowing the fuse. I laughed saying "Only on an American car".
