They will do their part. Happened to me many times. If people respond by clicking on the link provided in the email, it usually takes you through what looks like an eBay page and ask you for your eBay password...that's when they steal it from you...but eBay has been pretty good about catching that and end up disabling your account...unfortunately, they disable your account so many times in a row because they will suspect YOU are the scammer...
avoid all this by not replying to the scammer or following the links

So now it's suddenly 4 years later (nothing like ressurecting old threads!). Back in 05 I had about a 2 or 3 month window when I had time to take the car off the road and install this.... unfortunately it took awhile to get the kit ready for the '86 (a lot of hard work, I know) and by the time it arrived there just wasn't time.
At this point the kit is complete with a custom bracket for an '86, custom throttle cable, and fuel injectors.
Is anyone interested in buying it from me? It's taking up space in my new apartment (which I now share with a wife, ahem) and it just seems such a shame that it isn't being used.
Make me an offer, '86 owners!

Obviously I can't offer installed pics since I never installed it. I will try to post some uninstalled pics tomorrow.
I'd like to get $2500 for it. Am open to offers but am not in any particular hurry to sell it, either. Worst case scenario, I install it next year when I am not pulling 80-90hr workweeks.

OK, pics are attached. As you can see, there is a nicely polished vortech SC, air intake plumbing, 2 electric fans, throttle cable bracket, pulley, tensioner, a blow off valve, the necessary belts and hoses, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 8 (i believe) 32# fuel injectors, a parts list, an installation guide (Slightly rumpled but easily readable), and a few other odds and ends.

Oh, man. Seriously . . . if my '85 doesn't sell, this would make a great winter project.
(Mark -- maybe this will push somebody to grab this deal. If you had a pdf of the instructions, . . . .) You have PM.
Seriously . . . I'm thinking about it.

Mark, any chance of getting a photo copy of the instructions? I have most of the parts for a similar kit (FAST bracket, Vortech head, SuperModel pulley), but I think there is a lot I could learn about how it goes together. Much will be different in my case as I am putting mine on a CIS car, but much would be the same also (tensioner, belt routing, oil plumbing, etc).

Actually I'm looking forward to seeing how much performance difference is between my budget system and this one.
