I probably should capture a copy of the archive of Dan's site and possibly host it. Dan lived nearby and had 7 or 8 928s and a huge trove of parts and was always happy to share his knowledge. He was one of the most active participants in our local club. I miss him a lot.

Doing the nylon guides on the pillar can be a PITA. If yours are badly loose there, try a cable tie around the guide and the pillar to reduce the slack, and see if that helps. Note that I bought years ago a right and left nylon guide, with correct LH and RH part numbers moulded in the nylon, only to find they were BOTH THE SAME HAND! I used a cable tie around the side I didnt have.
