Cool IT ROCKS (new motor mounts)

I just turned the key this morning after pulling the engine on my 85 euro, rehabbing it, and replacing the engine. Wow the engine really likes to rock on new motor mounts.

It was quite a task doing it by myself, one hand on the engine one on the bar controlling the hoist. I cleaned the engine to the point where it competes with DR's euro. Too bad there is so much crap back on top of it now. I will try to post picks soon.

I would like to thank the members here who readily offered tips and knowledge when i posted questions (Bill Ball tops the list, sharkskin, dog, garth etc.) and especially to JB et al and Dave and Jeannie. Dave almost fell off his chair when i asked him a simple question and he expressed concern about the task ahead.

For all future noobs at engine removal this tip - I found that you
must push the tranny back as you CAN NOT push the engine forward. The top drivers side bell housing bolt is doable with a cut down socket and breaker bar.

Well time for

I have 72 K on the shark. I will find out soon how the MM's change the ride, so far only up and down the street to get the tranny fluid circulating plus all the other fluids.

Thumbs up

The difference is unbeliveable!
Replaced mine a year ago (anchor mounts) and it's one of the cheapest and best upgrades that I have done on my shark so far.

Cool

Question for me???

These are Anchor 2698 Mounts, they are actually made for Ford trucks!
Local autozone stores keep them in stock for $50 a piece. They are wonderful!
