Pierburg makes a high pressure pump (6.5 bar) that comes with the check valve and adapters to replace any Bosch external pump. I have used it on my 931 to replace the intank and external pump and have never run lean. Two years ago they were selling for $170 but the last time I checked, the price was about $240.

Does it matter where you mount the new, single, pump? I am running all new fuel lines. So just run the line from the tank to the filter and then on to a good place to mount the new pump?

Thanks,

If you are doing away with the intank pump, the new pump should be mounted as close to the tank as possible. On my 931, I used the same location (with mounts) as the old external pump which was about 12" from the tank.
