The famous 'Gourney Bubble'.
For a while there was concern they might have to actually include it on the production GT, and they had a hell of a time getting window geometry that would work.
I'm personally very impressed with the car, especially considering how short a timeframe it was developed in.

I like it. I would buy one if I hade the $$$. The "plasticy" dash and configuration left me somewhat cold but still a nice ride to say the least! Will try to see one in person...

That's pretty serious performance. No stock 928 will do that.

The Ford GT recall is really old news, it was for cars made in 2004. Only 100 cars had been delivered to customers at that time. The oil seal problem was also at the same timeframe.
Prices are down to sticker, I just ordered a 2006.

Yeah, but someone already won the cupie doll a few posts back.
"Kid Rock lives near me and he has a red Ford GT that I see him driving now and then."
If he's driving one,, yet one more reason to Shop elsewhere.

I don't know, the ones I have seen appeared to be a good quality car. They had all sorts of problems in the begining and the alarm was a big problem for them. I have heard Ford has been good to their customers and are resolving all issues especially the cracking arms.
The car has great street presence and I will agree looks very uncomfortable but I would have to drive one to comment. Although if someone gave me one I wouldn't toss it out of bed.

Now if someone gave me one of these I would toss my GTS in a second.
Rough and crude and loud and only 40 inches tall, gotta love it.

They just had a big "shindig" about the new roadcourse going in here at the Delta Center. After parading through several race cars, Cup 3, ALMS Audi, Grand American and a few other toys, they had a little show with a new silver Ford GT, beautiful car but...
The last car brought in was a true Mk VII GT40 (Gulf colors) that did a smoke roll in the Delta Center. It didn't want to idle or move around easily to be parked but it got a lot more attention than the new GT. Pure NASTY in every form of the word.
I'd like to have a new Ford GT but I'd sell everything I own and some of my neighbors stuff to get a true GT40.

In fairness to Ford they did develop the GT in a timeframe that's really totally unheard of.
Something like 5 months from car show prototype to an actual production model.
Quite an amazing feat, really.

I could do your surgery in 5 minutes too! Would you want me to? Or would you want me to take as much time as it required to get it right?
