Nice machinework in the thrust bearing. Did you take it all the way around, or just halfway?

FYI, the main bearing feed "holes" needs to be enlarged.

Hi Adam,
I don't understand what machining you mean.

Is there any opinion as to whether the slugs shoud be mounted radially a la' Hammer's crank, or transverse mounted in the counterweight? Not trying to start anything, just wondering if anyone has heard of opinions of one way over the other.

Thanks Andy, The heads were milled slightly to clean the deck. But as you'll see soon, I flycut the pistons for a larger cam so I expected about 10.5 to 1. I expect to install the pistons & rods tomorrow. Then I'll cc the heads & block & see what I come up with.

My thrust bearing didn't have the center channel that your's does. Did your bearing come that way? I'm wondering if maybe because mine's a squirter block that it is different. I'm having mine machined to look like yours so that it will have the channel. I'm told its to help facilitate the Chevy oiling passagways in the stroker crank.

Adam,
Without that channel, your engine will fail. that channel supplies oil ot the adjacant rods!

IIRC, I had to get 2 sets of bearings, and use 1/2 from each set to have a fully grooved bearing as the OEM stuff only had 1/2 grooved.... looks like fun!

So was mine. That's why I'm curious about your oil hole comment!
