Too bad SITM is so far away...However, once I get my project car going...

Maybe next year I'll bring some genuine shark parts.

If Scott remembers it, he has a part that would be a great new base for the shrine.

Bad juju seems to be all around us lately. As the keeper of the shrine, I'm bumping this thread to the top. A candle has been lit.

Let us pray.

Just dropped the engine back in last night after almost 4 months of work.

Please Lord, look down on me with your blessings as I near that moment of truth when I turn the key again for the 1st time.

My offering is all the boxes and boxes of used worn out parts.

Might be time to give the shine a rest, and go right to the Source. All of us here are truly blessed, and so maybe we could send out a little love for the ROW while we are at it.

A lot of people could sure use it about now.

The 928 Gods were watching out for Mike Frye today as we removed his intake system and the driver's side cam cover on his '85. All came apart with no issues or broken bolts - even the two-piece cam cover bolts were removed with ease.

I told Mike it was his lucky day and to play the lottery and/or bet some $'s on the horses!

Good luck Dave,

I've had my engine back in for about a month now and it started only after I found out that my used crank sensor I bought from DC Auto was no good! Thx guys! Colin helped me to figure that out.

So I had to replace it with a new one as I wasn't getting any spark. After that it started. It's a pretty good feeling but just make sure you check everything twice so you don't miss anything.

Curious why you didn't install the intake manifold? I did mine while on the stand and it was much easier to route all the hoses and wires.

I didn't remove the wiring harness from the firewall. My harness is not in great shape and I just did not want to move, twist, etc. anymore than I had to. So, I need to connect the idle controller up under the intake before I bolt it down. I was able to get this connection disconnected with the intake on, so I did remove the intake after the engine was out of the car.

But for the install I am doing it after. I am also waiting for new injectors.
