Default 88 S4 5spd for sale on Craigslist $10,500

Saw this on Craigslist, Bay Area. Could be a deal for somebody. Price is listed at $10,500. White with burgundy interior, looks like sport seats.

136K miles, unmodified, Grand Prix White exterior, burgundy interior, 5 speed manual transmission. Original factory paint (no body work). Original forged alloy wheels, toolset, collapsible spare tire, and air compressor. Updated Porsche wheel locks. New Michelin Pilot Sport tires, water pump, oxygen sensor, timing belt, accessory belts, battery, and alternator. Runs good, just passed the smog test, new registration valid till June ‘06. AC just serviced.

Open to reasonable offers.

Hey, what's the deal here? You mention this car that isn't listed here on Rennlist but my car that is doesn't get a word? For shame!!! Mine has less mileage, black or silver grey, new tires, new battery, Nology wires, LSD, all receipts, cold air, tool kit, pump, recent service, etc, etc, blah blah blah.

Shouldn't a Rennlist member classified get first billing before a Craiglist classified? You know, keeping it in the family. Not putting down Craiglist. Good site. But it deosn't focus on Porsche's, much as less 928's. What say ye Randy?

Are we allowed to post a plug/thread for our own cars listed in the classifieds rather than keeping it to the appropriate place (ie; the classifieds)? Or can we post with "see my add here, see my add there" and clog this site with countless postings trying to sell a car?

I be confoosed!

You have an auto. It is a five speed car and there aren't many of them out there. Thats why it seems like a good deal.

I am all knowing of most things worth knowing. What am I supposed to do, cheat on rennlist and be ed_U_ma_cating them too?

I clicked on the link, site sucks, its stuck in back back in 97 of AOHELL ver 3.0.

The layout sucks, it looks like a seeing eye examine with 600 links on the main page. Sort of looks like the Skynard version of rennlist? Caustrophic stutter of web design.

I'll stay here until I'm asked to leave, (not the country again today, the website).

Craig's List is an odd phenomenon. The format is, well, primitive, but Craig has built this unrefined text list into a formidable commerce site, enough to persuade eBay to snap it up.

Thanks Randy. I didn't know. However, considering the real purpose of this forum I wouldn't feel right using up space on it, anymore than I already have, to plug my car. That's what the classifieds are for.

Hey Bill Swift. Point well taken. By the way, not to slit my own throat, but that car on Craiglist is pretty nice. Good luck to whoever is selling it.
