Clicking in Rear End

Clicking in Rear End
Hey guys,
I have noticed some clicking noise with a slight whine that seems to come from my rear end when I do low speed tight turns, i mean real low speed like under 5mph. Is this normal? Is this common with possy rear ends? Let me give you my cars specs:
1987
928 S4
5 Speed Manual
32k Miles
Let me know your thoughts, thanks.

yeah sorry LSD, I have to many cars!
Okay, the ticking noise always seem to be coming from the outside tire in the turn.. meaning if the car is stopped and i make a hard left, the noise comes from the back right wheel, and visa-versa if i turn the car right noise comes from the back left wheel.

You think my CV needs fixing? only 32k miles on it.
I was hoping someone would say something around the lines that the ticking noise are clutch plates kinda rubbing one another. since the outside wheel at that point with slow speed is turning faster than the inside wheel.

I had the same thing happen to my 82. I replaced both axel shafts and still had clicking. I went to the auto parts store and bought a 8oz bottle of Friction Modifier and put it in the rear end. Problem solved. Try this before you spend a lot of time and labor.

check the e-brake springs holding the pads (shoes) in place. have someone drive your car around you at walking speed and see if you hear it. the springs can brake and end up griding and clicking against the hub.
