Key Cut From A Photogragh
After having Porsche attemp to cut a spare set of keys from the vehicles VIN , and checking locally for locksmiths with the proper key cutting machine for 928 keys with no success, I gave Keys4classics.com (Ebay) a try.
Just recieved my key that was cut from a digital photogragh, and worked
flawlessly
. Though I pass this on.

Even if you insure it for $2K to replace all of your locks it's a big pain if they lose it in transit.

I only had one single ignition/lock key. I had tried through the dealership over and over again to have Porsche AG make new keys from the VIN. Porsche failed over and over again.
And I just didn't trust sending my one and only key off in a package - to possibly get lost in transit somewhere.

I have to agree with bigs. I also just received back a pair of keys from a digital photo I took and they work perfectly. Since I have had only one key in the past I didn't want to part with it and I thought this was a good alternative.

Since I only have 1 (aftermarket) key and want 3 (the one I have, a nice black one with crest, and any other), I don't mind, but I'd like to know what I need to order to get a short key that fits the lighted (black with crest) keyhead.
BTW, I don't think I have a factory alarm, but there are several horns on the front of my car so I may have one.
