Default Is this one of the four Callaway 928s?

Could it be this guy doesn't realize what he has? I may even pursue this one myself. . .

No it's not. And since the seller (Herr-Kuhn) does also own a Callaway I suspect he knows what he has.

Those photos of the engine package mock-up really make it look like an awesome system.

I think it is a great looking package, but those IC pipes at the front seem very low to me - tough for street driving without eventually damaging one

I'm sure it is a nice car but he should have chosen a much more attractive shell to surround his engine. IMHO. the exterior and interior colors are not on the most attractive list for 928 color combos and that may be hindering the sale. The other aspect is the value of the car even with the work done is only as much as someone is willing to pay.

In the grand scheme of things 400 hp is not much power these days nor is a 5+ second 0-60 or 13+ second 1/4 mile. A 500 or 600 hp 928 would sell much faster.

It is priced accordingly! It is still quicker than any stock S4 to 60 or 100 MPH

The work done to that engine before herr kuhn even started fabricating the turbo solution is worth the price of the car (IMHO). I have a barn full of cars and need to whittle the collection down. I have to keep telling myself this in order to avoid owning yet another unique automobile that I don't drive on a regular basis.....I followed the turbo-john-chronicles from start to finish. I recommend anyone even remotely interested in this car do some research on the effort and extent put into this machine. Kuhn may be a bit "edgy", but can anyone here who lnows him doubt that he is anything but a perfectionist when it comes to the turbo game?

It is often very difficult to find someone who shares the same dream... So the more unique and personalized your ride becomes the less likely it will be appreciated and the less likely someone will be willing to pay for it. In this case, most might prefer a 5 speed something other than gold / brown ....as it is he might be looking for a one legged color blind guy with a turbo fetish.

Her Kuhn,

I suppose keeping it is totally out of the question if it does not bring your target price? I know you put alot into Goldmember (We met and talked some at the car wash in Banner Elk during SITM), maybe you should just keep it rather than take it in the @$$ price-wise!

It is an ugly car.

If you buy a car, strictly for testing and development, then don't expect it to sell if it's ugly.

If the car was red, with a black interior, I'm sure it would have more chance of selling quickly.

Don't forget the big huge "TURBO" emblem...

People pay to show off, and pay for a nice car they can be proud of.
People want to show off that it is a turbo.

It's a small minority that like the whole "sleeper" look.

BC don't hold back just say what you really mean ! But in many ways you are correct that the LOOKS and the" Look at me, Look at me "is very, very important to some people. It only needs to LOOK FAST and expensive.

I guess I’m one of the few that loves the sleeper look. All my cars always looked as stock as possible. Even when they were supercharged it was impossible to tell from the outside. Also, it’s a lot less expensive to keep the car stock looking from the outside.

Hahaha! I'd be the first person to tell you that my original blue interior was UGLY!
I was very happy to replace it with a black interior...

If you're trying to sell a custom turbo car on ebay, a wild look is what you need to sell it...

If it was a vintage Calloway, perfectly restored, then maybe having it completely stock would be beneficial.

But when you sell a tuner car, or a custom car, people want something wild.

People will be lured by the idea of a turbo 928.
But those people will be turned off by the plain jane looks...

I think it would be a kick to have a sleeper like that. Wish a had the spare money laying around. I'd jump all over it.
