Hey folks, I installed a set of aero mirrors today, they LOOK awesome. However, I need some help. I'm perplexed -- when I got to the wiring, my wiring doesn't match any of the new wire harnesses, nor does the existing wire colors match the internet write-ups.

I did a bunch of searching to see if someone else had this problem, and found this thread:

Anyone have some thoughts on how to determine which wire goes to which?

For me, it wasn't worth changing over the wiring, that has a cost too. But if you have an S4 I believe it to be much simplier.

Thanks for the response Greg. Yeah, I saw that thread, but I think you're right, if I have an S4 it shouldn't be as difficult. I'm sure I'll end up just playing with the wiring, but I was hoping someone would know what color went to what...

When I get back to the shop I'll send you a wiring diagram for Aero mirrors on the 87'.

If you have the workshop manuals it's not difficult. Did it on my 89GT.
The number of wires is the same, but the colors all change (except the ground). I just compared the 89 wiring diagrams to the GTS to swap the colors over. Worked perfectly the first time.

I matched up the wires as they would have been paired in the connectors, the colors were off IIRC for at least two, maybe more, of the wires. Kinda Like Jim M did, but without the shop manual. Worked fine the first time, so even though I have not explained well, it is easier than it sounds....

So six months later, I finally got motivated to finish the job -- the color coding Dave Lomas provided worked like a charm! Thanks Dave, and thanks everyone that responded! I love this forum.
