The above is the lift that Brad and I bought...it SHOWS as 220v, but has come to both of us in 110v.

It was on sale for $899....with their ridiculously LOW shipping - it came to $930...

Yeah, Mel, I was going to mention that HF shipping is very cheap. I don't think you can beat that deal for the same type of scissor-lift.

The 4 posters will be about $350-450 for shipping and none of the vendors will deliver residential unless you have a forklift. I rented a U-Haul and picked it up at the shipping terminal and off-loaded it myself at home - a ROYAL pain unless you have heavy equipment.

You got a very good deal. I have that lift and paid 1495 delivered. The damn thing ways 1000 or more pounds and has some design faults that need correcting. For instance, the thingies that the pads fit on hit the hydraluic cylinders and need to be taken to a shop with a large grinding wheel and made a little smaller. Otherwise it works great. try www.e-autolifts.com

I'm in somewhat of a better position than you Bill. Greg Smith, for me, is in Indianapolis, which is about a three hour drive away. I could drive over there, and save the shipping charge.
I've been seriously debating a 4-post lift for awhile..... 2 P-cars, 9'4" garage ceiling, no problem!

The thing ways close to a ton. Make sure you have some help setting it up. Oh, and I don't think you can have too many bikes, can you?

Bill,
I own 25 bikes now, I had 28 last year, and at one point in my life, I think it was about 38? None of 'em were bought new, almost all of 'em required maintenance or repair, when I bought 'em. Some, like my '48 AJS, were TOTAL basket cases.

The cost of their maintenance and upkeep, wear and tear on the machines, and especially their storage fees, have finally convinced me of the futility of keeping so many bikes. That, and the fact I haven't ridden one of 'em, in almost two years, convinced me the assortment MUST be whittled down, severally. I think there are about 6 bikes I will keep...

25! Yikes! OK, maybe you can have too many. Yes, 6 would be more manageable. I'll probably not get back to my peak of 7 from 5 current. No storage fees. They sit in the third bay and get ridden one a day to work each week. The 928 is my bad weather vehicle.

Yep,
6 of 'em in the garage, along with the '56. And my wif has been growling for years, about how I've taken her spot away. She's right. Only a two car garage. Three bays in California? YIKES! is right! You must be doing something right.....

Now, to get this back on subject; I'm waiting for Brad to invite me and my electric vacuum pump over, so I can see his set-up, and then help him try to find a leak on his shark. He's been talking about this lift for a while, now it's home and he's ecstatic, I wanna see this item, and how it lifts.
