I checked the flaps after DR's comment. I had not really paid attention to them very closely. Honestly I think they are "homemade" they appear to be made of a semi-flexible plastic and the inside edges are pretty rough. There are no manufacturer's markings of any kind on them. Finally, (yikes) they are simply screwed into the fold in the fenders, and the screws don't all match. this is really wierd as it seems inconsistent with everything else on the car. Maybe I better open the hood!

I would remove those screws and quickly repair or at least put some anticorosive on the holes. Aluminum can still corrode and I know the rear will.

If it has the factory 928 mudflaps....then it would be a Japanese model right? Either way a very clean 928....plus super low mileage....
