Default Congratulations to the "928 NEWLYWEDS"

Hi Gang,
We want to congratulate our newest "928 Newlyweds" !!

Last Thursday morning Hans SerVaas and Katie Hohreiter (now SerVass :-) arrived early for Sharks in the Mountains. Jeannie and I were honored to meet them at the Avery County Courthouse (near Banner Elk) at 9 am so we could be witnesses for their wedding vows. After a mixup with what Courthouse we were to meet them at, Jeannie and I arrived a little late. This gave them a little more time to change their minds, but it was still on! A few minutes later we all exited with Hans and Katie SerVaas, signed sealed and delivered !! :-) Congratulations, you guys make a "Great 928 Couple"!!

On Saturday Chuck Zachman and Tina Angelichio (finally :-) tied the knot at a formal wedding in Charlotte, NC. We are sorry our 2 "events" clashed with each other and that we missed their wedding, we are also sorry they missed SITM for the first time in many years! Congratulations to you both, you guys also make a "Great 928 Couple".

Thank you Dave an Jeannie. We were honored that you came. It proves again that we really are a family... not just customers. Of course we all had second thoughts, but you know its true love if she was still there for the past two SITM after this.....

If you cant tell, she is standing on my freshly aquired 1989 diamond blue metalic S4 with 80k miles on it. That was back in 2003, our first SITM. Mark Anderson was the guest of honor that year, and promptly blew out his borrowed car's oil cooler hose, haulting the drive. Naturally, the best wasy to get a picuture of nearly 100 928's all crammed on the side of the road is climb ontop of your fiances new 928 and take pictures. Thanks again D&J for not only for being there for us on Thursday, but for providing us with memories for a lifetime, and a true friendship.
Hans

(Thanks to the Sharktrip guys for preserving this moment. She had the camera, so i didnt have a chance to take the incriminating photos)

Thanks DR! We missed you guys too. I wish we could have been there however, we were married on the anniversery of our first date 13 years ago (Tina said she was NOT going to start the clock over).

I am a very lucky man to be with a woman who loves the 928 as much as I do! In fact, she is the reason we have the 78. On the way home from the 2004 OCIC she said "wouldn't it be cool to have the first year and last year, do you know where any nice 78 928s are that are for sale?" Are you kiddin, you don't have to ask me twice on that one........? Sometimes I am hard of hearing but I heard that one loud and clear and she didn't have to repeat it. The rest is history!

We had beautiful weather for our wedding as I know you did for SITM. We missed seeing everyone and can't wait for next year.

Here's the only picture I have of us (so far) from Saturday.

Congratulations Chuck. We are very fortunate to have women that will put up with our hobbies. I am glad you had good weather, and by the looks of the picture, good company too.

To be honest, i didnt know she was doing it. I think i was talking to Jeannie, and than i heard a bunch of gasps, and everyone started staring. Then i heard from a gawking on-looker " What is she doing?" As i turn around i see that there she is, standing on my sunroof taking pictures (Thanks alot to all the people who encouraged her, and handed her their cameras for picture *blatent sarcasm*) Luckily she was skinny as a rail back then, and there was no dents, sunroof issues, or even paint scuffs odly enough.

Thats a running joke with us to Dave. We are both young, i am 21, she is 22. She holds an active real estate license, but couldn't sell because everyone thought she looked too young. We couldnt be happier though. She asked me to post this:

"Hey everybody! Well, the first week of married life has been great, and we can't thank Dave and Jeannie enough. We are truly grateful that you two stood up for us, and we are touch by your generosity and kindness. No big frilly dog-and-pony show wedding could ever come close to the small, personal, and intimate ceremony you shared with us. Not to mention it was short, sweet, and cheap! Everybody here is thrilled, all the ladies in the family were planning the reception before we even got on the highway to come home... another beautiful thing about eloping was that we didn't have to drag out that whole planning process *whew* Thanks again to everyone who attended for making our wedding and "honeymoon" wonderful. You could never find a better group of people to spend a weekend with! Oh, and PS, the sunburn's doing much better!"

Very funny, Hans...this will be you first trip to the doghouse during married life! Just kidding! That should've been in the vows..."I Katie, promise you Hans, never to stand on top of your 928..."

Hi Hans,

> Luckily she was skinny as a rail back then..

She's still "skinny as a rail" and totally adorable!

A little "ole married man" advice, keep repeating the true statement I wrote above, over and over, for the rest of your life :-)

She certainly is a looker!

Regardless, I'd be a little cautious of anyone who'd stand on the roof of a 928.
