Here's a quick snap shot. Yes the road was wide open.

With today's prices that in itself is something to be proud of.

1 recommendation.

I hit 120 in a short stretch going up the road to Ace Hardware the other day! True.

Hey Curt -

That sure was a blast at WG! You were flying on the track and I could not catch you. I think the nut behind my wheel needs more adjusting. Maybe next year. Glad to hear you made it home (hopefully without any tickets). Did you happen to find the link to the photos that were taken at the track on Tuesday? Thanks!

Hi Paul and Curt,

If I ever get my '79 running again I will see you at PCA events. Are you Niagara or Fingerlakes?

Curt -

Thanks for the link. There's a great shot of you coming out of the toe! Let's see... 21mm spacers are going to run you at least 2 black and tans at the Seneca Lodge next year. PM me with your address and I'll get them out to you. Think of it as a belated wedding present!

AJK - I'm in the Central New York (CNY) region. I'm actually the Membership Chairperson for CNY. I'm not sure which region Curt is in. Get that thing together and get it to the track. The 928 is quite at home at the Glen.

That is pretty impressive - 45,*** miles on an '87. My '87 is closing in on 85,000 and I don't consider it broken in yet.

Hmm, my 79 has 89,000 klms (bout 55,000 miles). Do you think Shark drivers do a lot of miles compared to other exotic car owners?

yeah, a low mileage shark means that the PO must have been in the hospital for year and/or they had 7 different sharks -- one for every day of the week.

these things were meant to be driven. i met a carerra owner the other day with a '90 that had 112k on his. i told him i had 103k on my 86 928 and we didn't even bat an eye.

you say that about a ford truck and people start to think you're crazy.

I'm at 201 Km (125k miles) and just spent 2.5 hours over 2 days driving between 4 and 6 grand on the tach. These things just keep going and going and going!

Paul,

My car, in it's first life, had many hours of track time at Watkins. I am now trying to bring it back from 10 years and 30K miles of neglect. Have yet to decide whether it will be worth the effort cost wise.
