Yes, Keith, please send instructions. I'd certainly like to consider this. I've ordered the ones from turnclear, so now I just need the clear bumperettes. I'll call 928Intl about those.
Thanks for sending the instructions!

Hell, I will just post them here in case anyone else needs them.

Remove the turn signal and fog/driving assemblies entirely with the disconnected wires hanging through the holes. From what I remember, I THINK you will need an "8mm" closed end wrench. You will need to drill a hole in the bumper cover behind the turn signal, perpendicular to the metal 5mph piece. It is clear what I am talking about when you see it. The 5mph piece is held in by 2 nuts and bolts. Unfortunately, if you just try to take off the nuts, both the nut and bolt turn, so you will need to get a wrench on the back of the bolt that is on the inside of the bumper cover. There is no other way to get to it without taking off the entire bumper cover...trust me!

So, drill a hole big enough to slip the closed end of a wrench in to. Take a piece of sticky tape and place it over the backside of the open part of the wrench. This is so that the bolt does not fall back in to the bumper cover area. The bolt head will probably stick to the tape (which is good) and you can pull the wrench and bolt out temporarily. You will need to get to the 2nd bolt and do the same thing. However, you need these nuts and bolts because this is what keeps the fog/driving light assembly attached to the bumper cover. Now pull the 5mph metal plate out and stick the nut back on the bolt and tighten, but not too tight, just nice and snug. Grab the other bolt and slip it in the wrench pressed against the tape and slip it back in the whole...thread on nut.

Put it all back together and just attach the new clear plastic lens to the fog/dring light assemblies after they are installed.

Simple huh?

I had an issue doing this to the GTS at first since the car was cherry and I had know idea whether the idea would work. Taking a drill to a fresh GTS bumper cover was a risk. At any rate, the turn signal assembly covers the hole and no one will ever know it is there. If you are "****" about the hole being open, go to Home Depot and get a plastic or metal hole plug in those specialty drawers they have in the bolt and screw section. No, I didn't do this..., just making a suggestion.

Now sit back and admire your new Euro look while you tilt some Deutschland pils!

I'm still waiting for mine too. It has been 10 or so days since we had the reply from turnclear here. I would think yours would have arrived. Mine could still be on a boat somewhere in the Atlantic.

It should take about 5-7 business days for a package to arrive.
.. and I would'nt be writing this if your package's would not be sent!
I truley understand your frustration, but Mads, you know that i have gotten your package back once. I hope you belive me on that.

A warning to those who order from turnclear.com: they're not quick to respond. I've sent them several e-mails over the past week, asking for the status of my order - - no response. It's ashame that they take your money and seemingly forget who you are...

Again... this is why those people stop making cool products for the 928.
Too many impatient people who do not realize this is one guy,
doing this on his own, to make us happy. He's not a business...
There is no staff, no phone bank, no order tracking, etc...
It's just one guy, who probably has another job, a life,
a family, etc... If he is working hard to make these
products, he may not have time to answer all the
e-mails right away... If he is constantly hassled,
he's just going to stop making them. And if that happens,
there won't be anyplace else to get them...

Well, he should consider partnering with a distributor that CAN service customers, then.

I'm not disagreeing that Turnclear, and Andy Keel, may not have the best business model.

I just think people put too high of expectations from some of these people.
And they get so angry, and annoyed, and badgering, that it just makes
these individuals not want to deal with being in business...

I felt the same way, when I ordered drop links from 928 specialists.
After a long wait, I contacted them, and was told that they had to wait
for Louis Ott to make some new sets. So I calmed down, because
I know that he's just one guy, not a drop-link/x-pipe factory...

That's what people tend to forget.

There is no turnclear factory.
No droplink factory.
No assembly line for supermodel kits.

It all happens in someone's kitchen or living room.

So when their girlfriend wants to use the kitchen, your order goes on hold...

That's the world of custom parts for the 928...

When I bought my clear turn signal lenses from Joakim he had some in stock, (and we paypalled him, I believe). I had them no more than a week later. They fit very well. I am a very happy customer.
Maybe the popularity of this product has caught up with his ability to process orders. Seems there is a rash of "928 parts vendor 101, final exams" going around. I am beginning to see bc's point about lightening up a bit on these guys.......Though I still say the best model is to charge a fair and profitable price for your product, and build in the cost of processing orders. In the end, taking a hobby to a business practice will take all the fun out of it and all that will be left is the profit.
