With all that work, who needs project cars? You can buy 'em ready to go and just drive and drive and drive!! (to the UPS store and back)

I absolutely refuse to pay $160/set for mine! I won't hear of paying anything less than $200 like the rest of the crowd. So, take that.....

We are in Columbia SC

Price depends on what you want us to do. Options -

Strip Original Porsche coating from valve covers (you can do this or we can but it has to be done) $50.00
Do the same stripping to intake $50.00 (Includes polishing script!)
Smooth and fill pits in both covers $50.00
Powder Coat both valve covers: $35.00
Clear Coat both valve covers: $35.00
Powder coat Intake: $25.00
Clear coat Intake: $25.00

If you choose all the above option the valve covers would be factory perfect. However most people do not fill the pits and just have us coat overthem.

We can do ANY powder coat color made.
This sounds very reasonable to me. I'll keep you in mind for when I'm ready to have mine done. At some point, I have to fix a bolt on one of the valve covers - that might be the time to get started on doing it right...

Hey, big three---- stock up on intake/cam cover R&R goodies. Lotsa folks will have their intake and cam covers off this spring and summer. I'm learning the job at Roger's this month and mine comes next. Plus Dave, Nicole, Heinrich, etc.

Randy, see what I helped start? I think I should get a % of each powder job done! Let's see, $200 less 5% for each one from now until Sept... Cha-ching!(kidding of course)

How about wheels? Is it possible to powder coat a set of stock chrome dish wheels in black chrome? Can they be faded form a dark center out to a chrome rim? If so how much? Would they have to striped first? By the way, you guys are a bargin! Let's just keep that between us Rennlisters. Thanks

As long as it fits in our oven. Right now we can handle 16" rims. But if business gets busy I am sure we will upgrade. But if we have to strip prep and coat +Clear it would be about $100 per wheel.

We have not done a set yet so you can wait until we do some and see how they turn out or be our ginnie pig for a big discount.

We do the following Porsche work out of our shop --

Powder Coating
Machine shop service (We can make anything or service anything)
Engine rebuilding (We do not offer engine removal or installation at this time except on air cooled models)
Welding and custom exhaust fabrication
Coatings (Ceramic, Dry Film Lube, and most others for internal engine performance.)
Gear and pulley coatings
We also do rust repair (battery boxes, floor pans, and more.)

Rick and I are not the fastest as this is a hobby and we are very carefull with everything like it was our own but we do great work. We are methodical and I worked as a proffesional Porsche mechanic for years in my youth. I was trained in the late 1980s by one of the Porsche masters Chub Harmstead of Foriegn Masters and use these skills in our hobby shop today. We specialize in 911s, and 951s but can work on most anything from Lotus to Porsche.

No need to keep it a secret. I want to take some careful measurements of the oven and be 100% sure we can do it but I think we could give you a 50% ginnie pig discount. I am heading to the Beach for the weekend early in the morning but I will get Randy to measure and let you know.
