Yeah, yeah I know, ya gotta get that outta your system! You definitely don't want the jackbooted **** HOA president trying out his/her/it's junior HS creative writing education out on you. Might have to get Romeo, er, Steve to come out and threaten them with a bunch of incomprehensible, multisyllabic legalese jargon to back 'em off I'm sure he has a Lister hourly rate...

Andy,
I switched to just a X Magnaflow and dual 2-1/2's. It is VERY loud. I love it for around town but not sure if I will like it on trips - may add resonators yet.

If you like the NASCAR sound, then go for it...

You've seen my videos of my car with the flowmaster, right?

It seems plenty loud for me...

Was swapping out my O2 sensor over the weekend and had the exhaust apart. I couldn't resist the urge to fire it up real quick with the exhaust dropped. When I turned the key, I literally jumped and thought I had a backfire for a split second. Then I heard the throatiest, sexiest V-8 rumble pouring out into my garage.....unfortunately it was 10:00 pm and my 2 year old inside the house heard it as well and woke up. My wife eventually was screaming louder than the exhaust note to shut it down. Truly and intoxicating symphony but extremely loud......and extremely addicting!!

Exactly how I was when I did that with mine. I was in a shop, so I could rev it to my hearts content, but holy sh*t, was it loud! A few people that afternoon discovered at not all Porsche's have boxer 6's

Andy -

When I puchased my Beast 4 years ago, the PO had custom straight pipes installed from the cats back. The interior drone in 5th gear was rediculous, my neighbors (and I) hated it, and I received two noise tickets. Plus it made a beautiful car sound like a 19 year olds Camaro. Don't do it. I couldn't get the stock system (which fortunately he kept) back on quick enough.

hey guys, think this would quiet it down a little?

This is a Dynomax Magnum 'bullet' resonator. seems like it would work on quieting things down. I'm looking for more volume and bite over what the car sounds like with an RMB and intermediate mufflers. I wonder if this will still make it louder or not.

EDIT: Here's a link to what the core looks like:

i hate you.

Anyways, anyone ever tried resonators in that area instead? I think the reason why the sound is mellow despite the intermediates are straight through is because the packing inside of them with bullet style muffler like this I'm sure it will increase the noise. As you stated before Bill despite adding resonators like this it's still loud. I think I'm gonna give it a try this weekend

alrighty guys it looks like this car is gonna have Dynomax Race Magnum mufflers where the intermediates used to be. This weekend I'm gonna be making the purchase. Again, I'll let everyone know how this car sounds afterwards
