Is there a lubricant that can be used when pushing the sensor onto the pad. I seem to break them all the time. I am putting a set on the front Tuesday. Any tricks would be appreciated.

I pulled the front tires to put the new brake pads on and Blamo..there was still 50% pad left. The brake pad light came on and since it had been a while since the front was done I just assumed they were due. I unplugged the sensors, rrouted them and reconnected them. Did the back too. Anything else that would trigger the warning light? Is there a way to shut off the light so I can see my normal dash? Last time I had this problem it was two of the little brass clips touching each other. Not sure about this time.
You can remove and disconnect the sensors and the light should go off.
When the sensor touches the ground of the chassis, then the light on your dash should light with the ignition on. So it's designed to touch the brake rotor, which is connected to chassis ground, after the brake pad wears down.
Trace the sensor wires back to each connector.

The light idea is to get you to take it in for service where they determine what wheels need new pads. But usually they get replaced on all fours at the same time.
For your problem, just disconnect the sensors one at a time. Odds are, it will only take two disconnects to find the bad one.
