Cool

We just got back from Baja, and just wanted to let you know that barring any unforseen circumstances, Randi and I will be attending . Hopefully there will be a caravan going up I'll call and make our reservations later this week. Also, I'll drop you a check before the end of the month.

Tim, as before, count me and the wife unit in. I just got off the phone with the motel. They took my reservation but claimed they knew nothing about the event. They did honor the rate and said rooms for that time of year go really fast. Probably management hasn't passed along the deal to the staff yet. Let me know how I can help.

Tim:

I'm going to put out a message to the Norcal crowd later today and refer them to this thread. You may want to give us some recommendations for nearby alternate accomodations.

Just got off the phone with the Tahoe Inn, and Sharks at the Lake is on the lips of all their employees now. Let me know if anyone else has trouble. We have hopefully secured the center isle of the motel for our Porsche Parking so folks can come up to the hospitality suite, get their favorite beverage and head down to BS in the parking lot or hang around the suite and talk. The motel just soft blocked a 35 room wedding party, but we have preferance on rooms. So if you are coming up get your reservations in. They will allow days on both sides of the weekend if you want to vacation.

I'm trying to plan a loose agenda for the two days so some input of likely attendees would be appreciated. The only thing that is in stone right now is the dinner. It will be at 6pm (cocktails) and 7 pm (dinner) at the Tahoe Biltmore. It is 1/2 block down the street and we will likely just walk over. The Cal-Neva is just across the street as is the Crystal Bay Club.

Will most of you come up on Friday, or will you drive up on Sat morn. Whatever day the majority of people come up will help determine which day the drive will be, when the suite will be open and which day to serve food and munchies.

As Bill mentioned if someone wants alternate accommodations just email me and I'll try to provide the info. I really would like to have everyone staying at the Tahoe Inn. It is one of the least expensive in the high season and has offered to block rooms to us.

Room booked... I'm planning to show up somewhere an hour or two either side of 4pm Friday. Tim, I think I still have your PayPal address... I'll go ahead and spring for two dinners and if my tentative guest becomes a confirmed no-show I'll just be sure to bring an extra-big appetite.

Any SoCal / San Diego folks planning on coming through Bishop (U.S. 395) on the way up? Beautiful drive through the mountains. Beats that boring ride up the central valley! If so contact me and we'll hookup for the ride north. I might be able to put a couple of folks up over night at my casa if you're planning on coming up Thursday. I plan on going up to Tahoe Friday mid morning.

Tim:

More than likely I'm bringing the junior member of the family, (about 19mos old at that time) any suggestions on "family friendly" up there with this hotel or any other? The pool is key.

Seth,

I don't see why the little sharkette would be a problem at all. There is a pool and hot tub. The motel has family units so I'm sure they don't care. The only place that is not kid friendly is on the actual casino floor (you can pass through but you can't stop and play) so if you want to gamble a little your wife and you will have to switch off babysitting in the motel room.

I guess I should get some creamed vegetables and formula for the hospitality suite.

Cool

I made our reservations; however, the person that I spoke with said the $89 rooms have no airconditioning . What's up with that Do you need A/C in the middle of June in Tahoe
