Each time we learn of another 928 going down, we should take note. If we had a baseline, it might be useful for propping up the value of the remaining cars.

They will become valuable once there are few left, and someone really wants one.
So those two things have to be true before the values go up.
Right now, there are still plenty around. And they are cheap.
And when they are rare, you have to find a collector or enthusiast that is willing to pay *more* for a 928, than they would pay for a *new* sportscar.

I doubt the 78 is repairable. Look at the body buckled behind the doors. The roof line where the hatch meets the roof is out of whack too. It would appear he hit the Volvo very, very hard. Too bad, it's obvious the owner had a quite a bit of pride in his (or her) Shark.
