OK. I contacted e-bay.
Interesting that they listed it as used. I guess that they thought they could get away with the scam easier listing it as used. While obviously I can say with great certainty no one should be selling new kits in the UK. I guess they saw my worldwide listing on e-bay and figured that I had sold so many that I/we wouldn't really think anything of someone selling a used one in the UK.

NEVER NEVER NEVER buy any of my products listed on e-bay or from an unknown source with out contacting me first.

I forgot to list Dave H, and customer in Australia as people that also have Jag/Eaton sytems. Just didn't want you two to feel left out.

Geir,
I have a system ready for you now. It comes with an S4 already attached to it so installation will be easy. Shipping will be very expensive though.
It'll be a few weeks yet on the 16v stuff. One of the first cars to get one though will be a euro so that should make you happy.

Andy.
Shipping will be the cheapest of it all when it comes down to it...taxes to get it here..app. twice what I have to pay for the kit with the S4 attached to it.

I guess I can wait a little longer for just the kit.

I hope eBay takes action soon, but they often don't in cases like this. It's Andy's word versus this seller as to who owns what. Fortunately this ad has enough red flags that it should not get any bids. There is a devious way to alert potential bidders that this is a scam.....

Bill,
My guess was that they can stop it on the basis that he stole my pictures and text, i.e. copyright infringement.
When alerting e-bay this was confirmed as the obvious path of choices in reporting this went to some information about copyright infringement.
Again the "used" portion was a clever twist, but shouldn't get him past since he copied my text and pictures.
Here is the message to e-bay:
Report a listing policy violation or prohibited (banned) item > Copying of your listing > Your item description text was copied

Item number(s) reported: 7960122812

Your item number from which picture or text was copied: 7955626063

Description of what was copied: The whole auction is coppied. I am the sole manufacturer of this type kit for the Porsche 928 in the entire world. I have never shipped one to the UK, and I am in close contact with the few people that heve ever purchased one from me. There does not exist a used one to be sold. So I am 100% certain that is is scam. Please remove it or someone will lose lots of money.

well, ebay should have record of the previous kits that Andy has sold. If the UK guys didn't use the same exact IDENTICAL ad listing, maybe he could get away with it. He's also got zero feedback...

I've seen ebay act pretty quickly on a wide array of things

Andy: That is good. Yes, I have seen eBay take action quickly too, but sometimes, even with patently obvious scams, it doesn't quite meet their not fully apparent criteria. I presented several instances of what were blatant shill bidding. No action. Other cases, quick action. In the no action case, there are eBay vigilante tactics that can be used. If the ad is not gone by tonight, check out the bid list. Heh, heh.

I went ahead and bid it up to 1,000,000.00 Pounds.

Someone is going to have to want it pretty bad if they end up getting scamed now.
I guess I stand a chance of getting negative feedback.... oh well.
