After assembling the impact screwdriver with the adapters and all... I agree it'll be too long. I guess it's back to ratcheting. I'm on my way out, wish me luck.

After much crawling around, hammering, ratcheting, and cursing... I broke the WP bolt above the idler, still can't get the block coolant drains open, knocked one of my cams so that the valves (I think) hit the pistons, and got yelled at by a neighbor for spilling a few ounces of coolant. However, I got the idler off the WP without any damage (used a faucet handle puller), and got two other WP bolts off.

The blocks drains commonly snap. If your tap water is not hard, flush the hell out of the block (angering your neighbor, I guess, although diluted coolant is not a toxic chemical) and throw in good coolant when you have everything buttoned up. That will give you a 50/50 mix. Let us know what you see when you get the WP off. I've not had much luck removing the stubby remains of the bolts - they usually snap and I end up having to drill. But, you might try more PB blaster, maybe some heat (expands the block more than the bolt), and gentle twisting back and forth, if you can grip the stubby remains.
