seat lowered - finally!
Hey guys
i thought i'd share this with you. First, i am pretty happy with the results -thanks to Bob at stable energies in N.J. My goal was to sit lower in my seat b/c with a helmet on i was very uncomfortable. My head with helmet on was hitting the roof liner of the car ( note my car has a sunroof). I called stable energies ahead of time told them about my problem and the owner said to come in. Bob (owner) helped me with a KIRKY seat - first we tried the deluxe model then the intermediate. When all said and done we got the kirky intermediate seat in at my goal height and seat positon. i have to tell you it makes a big difference in the feel of the car - i feel like i have much better control and the car feels like it handles better! To get the position as low as possible we had to do without the sliders, so the seat now is fixed.. For those of you who are getting into track events - i would highly recommend it !
thanks

I was comparing my '81 seat brackets, to Jim_H's '90, and the later bodies have about a 1" lower mounting!
As an aside, I'm noticing more and more that compared to the early cars, the later cars are more solidly built, overall. Extra body framing, and sturdier mountings.
