Lug Nuts Needed!!

I finally got my 17 " 993 wheels. Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework. The 10" wheels for the rear require me to remove the spacer on my 86.5. Now the stock lug nuts will not have enough threads to tighten
I was told that I can get longer or open ended lug nuts. Does anyone have an extra set I could buy? I'd really like to get some ASAP so I can mount these baby's.

So you have too much stud, right, just cut some of the stud of,but be sure and put a nut on the stud first before you cut them, then take the nut off too straighten any of the threads, oh and use a steel lug nut, open faced.

What I'd advised another lister to do in an apparently identical situation was to secure the rear wheels with the open-end nuts - then thread the standard nuts onto the exposed stud. This double nutting is sound practice and may correct the cosmetic issue - depending on the depth of the lug well on your wheels.
He posted pictures - and they looked great: If you cut those 72mm studs, it is $$$$ to go back (hub comes off, destroying the bearing, ...)
Do some creative archive searching - he posted excellent pics.
If you are desperate to get on the road, then you can drill through or saw the tips off standard lug nuts.
edit - I found Ron's post - you may find what you need https://rennlist.com/forums/showthre...ht=wheel+studs

Anybody know of a source for aluminum open faced lug nuts. My P.O. included a set of these with my car and I need a replacement for one of them but can't find the proper size anywhere. Hate to have one steel lug nut with the rest being aluminum. Thanks

use the spacer and roll the fender with a baseball bat (wood)
its easy, and you can do it and it will look perfect. then you can use the stock lug nuts.
remember to keep the bat vertical and have someone in the car rolling the car forwards and backwards. its like an automatic rolling machine and actually works better

If i can put 335s on 11s with spacers, you can do it with the 10s and smaller tires! here is the pic
