I forgot about that dual distributor belt
probably one of the reasons the part euro 5 liters are such good machines too. one less thing to go wrong!

"Equal", only over an infinite speed range. otherwise, all have advantages over target speed ranges.

Aside from going the more aerodynamic direction for the 928, it will have more torque to the wheels up to 10mph, then do a 180 and toss it in 1st til 50mph!

I think you finially got it, but arent willing to admit it!

A replacement belt is much too easy.

Install 32V cam gears and hubs (you still have a 16V conversion pointer ) and fab a custom timing belt cover so that you can use 32V distributors!

Dumb questions numbers 1086 & 1087:
Relatively speaking, how difficult is it to obtain parts for Euros in the USA?
And what year Euro engines were non-interferance?

Harvey ....

There are no low-mile Euros afaik and they are somewhat of an oddity. Parts are obtainable. Oh Btw Harv ... I had to fab a special centre timing belt cover from a spare S4 one I had, because the twin-distributor absolutely MUST have the Euro-style driver's cover, and anyway the S4 has a distributor mounted in the middle of it. Anyway, it came out pretty nice. had to cut and mould about 1.5 inches for the fit. And lastly Harv ... about cost. Have you seen an elastic band? Well this one looks just like a tiny timing belt, same size as any elastic band, and costs ......... 25 bucks.
