My lock came out of the door....
Well, when I pulled the key out of the lock in my door today the lock came with it, not all the way out but a good half inch or so, whet the hell? What holds it in there? I see no threads or really anything that would suggest something breaking or falling off.
Thanks
Thanks

I can only relate how it works on a 90. There is a hex bolt at the end of your door and a big short bolt thingy the hexbolt goes through. You have to fool with it a bit to get just the right pressure so the lock turns easily. Takes very little pressure to hold the lock in.

There's a rubber plug on the early cars, on the same panel as the latch that engages with the B-pillar. It's at the same height as the lock cylinder. Pop the plug off and look inside. There is supposed to be a bolt that you access through here which screws into the side of the cylinder, holding it in. It sounds like your bolt fell out.
