Default Left front ball joint update

Had my left front ball joint repaired Monday morning. After six weeks of diagnostic testing, and general farting around with 3D CT scans and such, the broken part had started healing in the wrong position, so the surgery took five hours and a lot of fun was had by the orthopedic surgeon while I lay there blissfully unaware.
Not much pain (Oxycodone is our friend!) and I'll be able to begin physiotherapy in about eight weeks.
It's amazing how one brief moment of stupidity can turn into one LARGE pain in the ***!!

Nice to hear the suspension overhaul went well, and all is on the mend. Once you get off the chem soup it will be time for some much-needed BWAAAHHH therapy...

Hate to hear you "Munson-ed' your ball, joint, but sounds like your wrencher had a good set of tools! Glad it went as planned. A good physical terrorist can speed up the process, also!

Man alive! - and all this time I thought it was your shoulder.

My nephew, 2nd year Dalhousie Varsity hockey, just kissed the boards 3 weeks ago achieving a similar fracture: Within 3 days, the offending bone segment was repositioned via the 'scope - and 3 SS pins inserted. They will be removed in another week, and as they are external - it leaves a spot to hang one's jacket.
Hope you soon get full mobility.

Hell, Ern,
My gimpy ex-Marine, buddy and I were hobbling so bad one afternoon while some cross-over Hiphop/gangsta-rap was blaring out of the truck shop we accidentally invented gimp-hop dancing.
So much for the f'in Golden Years .
Hope it's an improvement for you. I've been bone to bone since 1992 and would rather try losing 50 pounds and see what happens...

Hey John,
Try gimp-hop with one arm! Could be a new fad!

Ern,
I hope you aren't one of those guy's who don't take pills and try to tough it out.
If you are, at least take a half tab. Sleep is good! Minimal pain is great!
Keep a couple of ...uhmmm... drainage jugs nearby...
Trust your doctor, physical therapist, but above all trust yourself.
Get well.
I'll give my buddy Rusty a buzz when he get's back and we'll work on the one-armed gimp-hop.
He's trying to get me to invest in a Gerbil Dude Ranch just behind the Hearst Castle and has been
looking over some Bull Gerbils, and interviewing some dwarf Gay Gaucho's.
Personally, I'm saving for the SC.

John,
I happen to be a card carying, 39th degree black belt, bone fide certified wimp when it comes to pain. Oxycodone and I have had done our thing and I've officially graduated to Advil as of yesterday. It's nice to be back from the land of nod, as in off, while working on the computer. This one handed typing thing is getting REAL old.
As for the gerbil dude ranch, I've got some ideas, like an associated flea market.
Have your people call my people and we'll talk.

Talking

Ern,
Good news, but don't get antsy and overdo it.
Rusty is negotiating for the northern side of the slope opposite the Castle -for the sunset rides-,
and has entered discussion with the Trim Jim franchise out of San Francisco for personalized Gerbil 'show cuts', tattoing, and shaving. Frankly, the start-up cost's for 'The Pink Gerbil Tack and
Accessories' line which I feel is waayyyyy to diverse: ramps, saddles, leather booties, hobbles, retrieval winches, feed, and the like not to mention jewelry and specialized trainer fee's... will be ***-tronomical and cut into my SC cash.
He might, indeed be interested in the 'flea market' concept. Perhaps with an on-line format?
Hey, back in reality, Pattycakes is floundering with a coolant leak.
I can't isolate the darn leak even eyeballed everything till engine was cool to the touch 3 times.
When it leaks it's bad enough to cause a pwr steering belt slippage problem.
With a heavy heart I think I'm going to replace all hoses, accessory belts, TB, WP, tensioner and rollers.
I don't need to do all of this but Zack wants to learn how to do this stuff so he can do his own sHARk.
Besides with the WSM's, Rennlist, two sets of eyeballs, and four hands; How can I go wrong?
Don't answer that!.
Well, time to peruse the 928 INTL catalog.
Catch you later and take care.

Default Oil change

Are you ready for that oil change. Just name a date and time. You won't be able to do anything except maybe open a beer!
