I'm draining my track car budget for the wedding - reason why the 5.0 conversion is on hold for next year. I need more track experience anyway - I've only done one event.

To add insult to injury, we are having two receptions - one at Lake Las Vegas for the people that attent the wedding and another for everyone back home. That was NOT the original idea for getting married in the Vegas area, but so many people want to come we have to do something.

I'll help. I'll be in Florida for work (a technical conference at DisneyWorld - it'll be rough) from Jan. 22nd to 27th, but I'll be available around those dates.

The tools I have (the basics) and my workshop manuals are yours to use, if you need. I have a feeling my manuals may be a little too old, but we can see.

Kary, maybe Saturday Feb. 5th? I'm going to get the Flywheel Lock, Tension Tool and Water Pump before then, I hope. I'll start tearing into it this week getting the hoses and other stuff outta the way. You're more than welcome to come on up and help out. Just bring a jacket, its cold in my garage. I'm about 15 minutes off Thruway Exit 45. Swing me an e-mail and we'll gather up some details about when to get up here. You can help me diagnose the head gasket and such. I think I have most of the tools needed for the job, but the more the merrier. Let me know what you think.

I'd say don't do it. You're just asking for the stop-leak to fail somewhere out in the boonies if you take that approach.

The problem is, it tends to clog cross-flow radiators. The lower half of mine was not flowing at all, and it was because it was filled with stop-leak. YMMV.

I knew my coolent system would be flushed after that weekend anyway, it was also 40 degrees so cooling was not an issue.
